Snap has created a director for business marketing for EMEA role and hired Facebook exec Leila Woodington to fill the position.
Woodington will head up a growing team of marketing chiefs in the UK, France, Germany, Netherlands and Dubai from her base in London.
Her main focusses will be on marketing to consumers and small businesses and she will report to Doug Frisbie, VP of global business marketing at the social media platform.
Frisbie said of her appointment: “Her deep experience educating and inspiring advertisers will be extremely valuable as we continue accelerating our growth outside the U.S.”
The app and camera platform has recently been on a hiring spree for senior positions in the area with Laura Clarke and Jed Hallam hired as senior director of communications and EMEA head of communications planning respectively in the last two months.
Woodington was previously at Facebook for 10 years moving from marketing communications manager to marketing director for Northern Europe in that time.
Prior to that, she was at PayPal for 6 years developing from office manager to marketing for business marketing.
