Carol Vorderman shares anti-aging ingredient she swears by – and it’s not for the squeamish – The Mirror

Carol Vorderman has shared details of the “essential” supplement that she takes in a bid to keep as ‘biologically young’ as possible, with her teasing that she is “ageing well.”

The presenter, 61, took to Instagram yesterday afternoon to promote spermidine – which is an organic compound that’s believed to have first been identified in semen.

It is understood to have since been found in other living tissue and there are said to be high levels of spermidine in foods like matured cheeses, peas and certain mushrooms.

The compound is available in supplement form, with Carol telling her followers on the social media platform that she has been taking a capsule form of spermidine for a year.

Carol said she discovered Primeadine – a spermidine supplement that’s produced by the company Oxford Healthspan – whilst looking into ways to lower her biological age.

“I’ve done all sorts of different things […] but all based on science,” she said in a video yesterday, which saw her offer her followers a 10% discount with the promo code CAROL.

The presenter said that the tablets help with autophagy, which is the natural process of the body removing damaged or unnecessary cells in order to regenerate healthier ones.
