The Dublin company will start recruitment immediately at it scales its team in response to five years of growth.

Business communications provider Welltel is expanding its 180-strong workforce in Dublin to support planned growth of the business.

The company today (15 July) announced the creation of 25 new jobs to be filled immediately at its Dublin headquarters in Ballymount Industrial Estate.

Jobs available at Welltel include positions in cybersecurity engineering, IT and data networking. The company is also hiring project and product managers as well as recruits for its sales and marketing teams.

The expansion comes as Welltel reports high demand from customers migrating to digital and hybrid workspaces.

Welltel provides communications and IT services to business customers including unified communications, contact centres, secure connectivity, cloud solutions and managed security. It serves more than 3,000 clients in Ireland and internationally, including Permanent TSB, KBC, An Post Insurance, Three and the AA, as well as a number of local authorities.

Welltel claims to be on an upward growth trajectory following its recent organic business growth as well as a combination of strategic acquisitions.

The company’s recent acquisition spree saw it snap up cloud specialist Strencom, connectivity solutions business Intellicom, Kildare-based IT service provider Novi, and the UK and Ireland operations of Capstone Intelligent Solutions.

The company is reportedly planning further acquisitions this year across Ireland, the UK and Europe.

“As we continue on our growth path, including our ‘buy-and-build’ acquisition strategy, we need the right people to support this expansion,” said Welltel CEO Ross Murray.

“The creation of these new jobs means that Welltel can continue to provide the best technical solutions to businesses, underpinned by our customer-focused ethos.”

Murray attributed recent business growth to increasing demanded for connected and secure digital workplaces throughout the pandemic. “We are committed to rounding out our capabilities in these areas with continued investment in our people, as well as our suite of products,” he said.

Even before Covid-19 dramatically transformed the world of work, Welltel was on an upward track. The company was honoured six times in the Deloitte Fast 50 awards, having seen rapid growth each year since 2015.
